Security firm notices a drop in water pressure to the sprinkler system. Calls plant. Plant says, "I don't know." Security firm sends police and fire departments.

A servo failed and a vent was left open. The cold air poured in over the weekend freezing a sprinkler head and it broke, spewing water into two cubicles. Two computers trashed, and who knows what paperwork will be salvagable.

my weekend

On friday, Cyn and I went to the home of a coworker, who was having a party. He likes to have parties so he can utilize his bar. He has a very professional looking and well stocked bar in his basement. We had a good time.

On saturday, we took my dad and stepmom to see Willy Porter play. The man is amazing.

It was the first time in quite a while that we were able to go out and have some fun. The last time we were social was for the holidays, and as enjoyable as it was, it wasn't really fun.

Aside from that, I was able to work all sunday on my bathroom project. It doesn't seem like I got much done, but I worked all day on it, so I feel good about the day. I'm still struggling to get the framing done so I can hang the wallboard.

And I owe big thanks to Cindy for helping me out this weekend with laundry, dishes (twice), food, and cement board (and probably some other stuff).

war on Iraq

I get uncomfortable when people start saying things like, "when the war starts..." First of all, I don't think the war *was* a foregone conclusion. I think Bush & Co. were waiting for Saddam to fuck up the weapons inspection, even if the had to push him to get that to happen. So what does that mean? War was likely but not for certain. What does that have to do with the cirent situation? Is war a certainty? I don't know yet. I doubt it, but I can't say for sure. So why does it bother me that people talk like it is? Not because of the inaccuracy.

It's because Bush is still trying to win people over. And the more that people talk like it *will* happen, the more people become resigned to the fact. Pretty soon every one is acting like, "oh yeah, it's gonna happen. Go ahead."
