I've really gotten tired of this cold. I don't mind a few below zero days now and then, but it's been weeks since it's been above 20°. It's been a few days since it's been above ten. I'm sure it was below zero when I came home from work today. The official Milwaukee temperatures (there was a high of 2°F today) are always a few degrees warmer than it is up here in the country. And, yes, I know that there are many places that are colder than it is here right now. Like, Minneapolis is more than ten degrees colder than it is here.

But it's not just the outdoor temperature that's bothering me. It's the indoor temperature. My thermostat reads the same as it always does, but I'm nearly shivering. I can feel drafts. Cool air is rolling across the floor. The furnace is running all the time.

At least there's been snow on the ground all month.

I've been shivering for a month or more, too. The outside temps here aren't as bad as they are where you are, but it's been in the teens and twenties for several weeks. Today was unusually warm, reaching 37. Inside, though, we can't do anything to keep the temp above 66 or so. It's either run the heat constantly (which I won't do because it's an incredible waste and it dries the air unbearably), or just bundle up. When I do pump up the indoor temp to about 71 or so, it takes about fifteen minutes before it's dropped down to 66. If I don't run the heat at all, it just hovers around 66. It's all very frustrating, and I'm shivering right now arggh!
