I'm home today, sinc emy car wouldn't start. I had to have it towed to the shop. It's probably the connections on the starter. Figures, after all that trouble with the battery yesterday.

I tried getting the scooter running so I could get to work, but to no avail. I changed the gas and cleaned the spark plug. Carburator adjustments are beyond me.

I could walk to work (it's less than half an hour walk), but since it is nice out I decided to take the whole day off work and get some stuff done around here. Maybe I'll finish painting the garage. :-/

Seeya!

When I first read the last line before "seeya!" - *giggle* I thought you said, "Maybe I'll finish painting the garbage."

hee hee. :)

Well, I did clean the garage, and got the garbage all cleaned up and ready to go out, but that didn't include painting it.

I have bad luck with bicycles.

I've always meant to get another one, but I never have. I don't want to spend that much money. Nor do I want a cheap one.

indeed, i don't like cheap bikes, either......they ride like crap and you have to spend too much time adjusting them, etc......it does seem that living within a walk of work, that a bike would be an efficient mode of transport in summer......i think the numbers would pencil out.....

of course, last time at the bike shop around the corner, i stopped into say hi to my friend who owns the shop and mentioned that i didn't need anything, just wanted to keep in touch......he said that he'd be out of business if he sold only what people need.......

I've felt that way since I've worked there, that I should bike to work all the time. though it's not that great to cycle in my work clothes. The scooter is convenient, but it pollutes more than my car does.

some people change clothes at work when they cycle.......a novel concept....for me, cycling to work (when i get off my lazy ass and do it) takes 40 minutes and that's with a 2 mile downhill that drops 600 feet.....i do have a shower at work, also......and a safe place for the bike
