I occasionally send a response to someone who has mis-addressed something to me, but this one sounds like spam. If you were thanking someone for lunch, wouldn't you say something like, "it was nice to talk with you," or "I enjoyed it"? I mean, who loves lunch. And what guy would use that word?
I imagine it was someone checking random e-ddresses to see if they were active, hoping for a reply or two.
