spam?

I just got an e-mail that said

Mike,
Thanks for lunch. It was great!

I occasionally send a response to someone who has mis-addressed something to me, but this one sounds like spam. If you were thanking someone for lunch, wouldn't you say something like, "it was nice to talk with you," or "I enjoyed it"? I mean, who loves lunch. And what guy would use that word?

I imagine it was someone checking random e-ddresses to see if they were active, hoping for a reply or two.

I just got an email for Mike from Steve thanking me for lunch.

Yahoo's spam filter stuck it into my Bulk mail folder, so they must be getting a lot of these messages.
