kitchen remodel 15
Sep. 1st, 2021 10:55 pmThe guy didn't arrive to do the flooring until almost noon yesterday. Then moved a couple of appliances and a lot of the quarter-round base molding. He spread a coat of filler/leveler (it's like thin concrete) a little before the guy arrived to measure the countertops, and you couldn't walk on it until it dried. Then he left in early afternoon.
We rescheduled the countertop guy for 7:30 am today. He actually used a laser to measure the walls, to get the exact contour of the outline of the cabinets.
Then the flooring guys arrived. They didn't get done, so one of them will come back tomorrow morning, for a couple of hours. It looks really good right now.
In the evening I laid the countertops on the cabinets. I decided not to bother screwing them down. I hope I don't regret that choice in the next few weeks. Once I get the sink back in, I don't want to change it again until the stone comes in. I intended to reinstall the sink and faucet tonight but it's really damn heavy, and I have a friend coming tomorrow night, so he can help me.
