comprehension troubles
Aug. 14th, 2002 03:43 pmMy friend's kid, Julia, is really cute, but she's only around two and a half, and I have a lot of trouble understanding her. I'm sure it's frustrating to her. Last night, I could have sworn she told me her dad was from Tatooine. She said it four times (just the same each time). I finally repeated what it sounded like she said. She just looked at me. I shrugged my shoulders and she left. I felt bad for her. Besides just having trouble enunciating, she mixes Spanish in with her English. I can't ask her to speak English because she doesn't know the difference. First she'll have to learn that there are two words for things, then she'll have to learn which one is which.
I'm not happy because I'm tired and I couldn't get my checkbook balanced, but several of you are having a much worse time than I am. I haven't been able to get to any of your comment pages so:
(((((((all of you)))))))
As for the one who asked if anyone else is having trouble with LJ, yes I am, but I couldn't reach your post to comment there.
