My best friend is getting married. Last weekend, Cyn and I were wondering when. I know he wanted to get married before the baby came, and that's in April. I assumed I would be the best man/witness, so I was kind of curious when the wedding would be. He called a little while ago, saying he wanted to ask me in person, but he hasn't had a chance. I've been pretty busy myself, so I doubt if I'd have been around when he was, anyway. The marriage will take place a week from friday. That's the day of the Arlo Guthrie show. Fortunately, it won't be a big reception, just a dinner for a few of the closest friends and family. Maybe we won't miss much of the show.

oatmeal cookies

I just wanted some oatmeal cookies. How hard could it be to find some in Pick & Save? The place is huge. They've got everything. I didn't even care which kind - hard or soft, raisins, whatever. All I wanted was something decent (meaning, not a generic brand).

Guess what? They stock 27 varieties of chocolate chip cookies but only two kinds of oatmeal. And they were both generic. I got the iced version. I hate having to settle.
