apologies

I never could understand why it was so difficult for people to apologize. Just say you're sorry (and mean it) and let's get on with it.

I've recently discovered one reason that I think gives people trouble. Sometimes I just want the trouble to disappear, and I hope that the offended person was not *very* offended, and I don't want to bring the matter up and emphasize it.

snow? no snow.

Saudi Arabia gets snow for the first time in 40 years. Parts got up to eight inches. Here in Wisconsin we've got three inches on the ground.

I was supposed to go camping this weekend, but it is supposed to get up to 40° this week and probably rain. No snow, no camping. :-(

old associations never die

Cyn and I went to the symphony last evening. The featured soloist was Lang Lang, playing Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto no. 1 in B-flat minor, Op. 23.

When it started I thought, "hey, that's from Monty Python!" I glanced over at Cyn and she was grinning. She turned to me and said something about it being from Harold and Maude.

So much for synchronicity.
