Didn't see Mir. It was overcast at the time. I hope I have another chance to see it. I think it is supposed to be coming down on the 20th.

We got some snow. Big wet flakes. Probly half an inch of it. Looks beautiful. It's clear now.

There's a post about school shootings, and threats of such here at Ana's place. Feel free to comment either there or here, if you have anything to say about it.

Did I mention that when I started, no one else listed Jean-Pierre Jeunet? Now three others do. He directed City of Lost Children and Delicatessen.
I think the spirit of Seren gave up trying to get Cyn to leave, at about 10:00.

I added an interest called "solo interests."

This is supposed to mean interests that only one person has (which was too long for the interests list). Is there a better term for it? Any suggestions?

Whenever I make a post, I check for my current mood. so if I don't list one, I probably have no mood. Usually, I'm sitting on front of the computer at night, kind of zoning, reading journals, and I think of something to say, and say it without any kind of emotionality. If the post seems to show some mood, I probably felt it at the time, but it wore off by the time I wrote it, and I still needed to say it. Occasionally, I have something important to say, and I don't want to ruin the effect of what I'm saying by tacking that little mood note on the bottom. I used to say "none" or "same" for my current mood a lot. I don't bother anymore.

She apparently didn't bring her accordion to work today, so the carnage wasn't quite as widespread as it could have been.

Legos

You know those Lego Star Wars kits? And the little people figures that come with them, like Luke Skywaker with the X-wing? Those Stormtroooper figures are so cute!

I saw it. It was pretty cool. It was fairly bright - brighter than most of the stars, but not all. It came up in the east, crossed just over Orion's head, and then faded away shortly after that. It was up for about two and a half minutes. With binoculars, it was bigger than the pinpoint of light that a star is, but I couldn't make out any sort of detail. It is supposed to do the same thing on Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday. If you're out around seven o'clock (in the midwest) look for it. If yuou are elsewhere, go to www.heavens-above.com to find the schedule.

I now have "unique interests" as an interest. Miz Daizee has it listed, and has quite a few unique interests of her own, so I hope I'm not stepping on her toes. I may have to take the Kernerator's suggestion and use one-of-a-kind interests or something. I want to contact her, but I'm on Cyn's computer right now and it is not responding well.
