bad timing

Not in the usual sense, like, oops, that was bad timing, but just plain lateness. I was doing it all weekend.

I was five or ten minutes late picking my car up from the dealer on friday night. I put off leaving work until the very last minute, forgetting that I had to get gas too.

I promised I'd mail something on saturday, and I put it off until saturday morning. Then I spent half an hour looking for packaging for it. The post office closed before I could get it together.

Then I wasn't paying attention to what time I'd have to leave and get everything done on time. I had to go to the bank and get gas, then pick up Cyn, then go pick up my car - all before meeting my dad and stepmom at a gallery downtown, by a certain time. We were ten minutes late, and got there *just* in time. It was a gallery crawl, and the shuttle was leaving.

On sunday, I took a friend downtown for a hockey game. If I hadn't spaced and missed my exit, and then gotten lost in the construction, we'd have made it on time. We were meeting some people there, who had our tickets, so they ended up getting in to the game after it started.

I'm not usually that bad.

Well, we'd been talking about it for, like, two weeks.

But mostly, it was that it was a promise to myself that I'd been putting off for days. For no reason.

No idea. I just did a cookie scan, and didn't find any LJ cookies.

odd. i have the standard ones from livejournal.com, and one from low_delta.livejournal.com. had, actually. i deleted it.
