In the last fifteen minutes, the wind speed has gone from 15 to 35 mph (with gusts of 40).

Yu can probably get a good forecast here (http://www.wunderground.com/weatherstation/WXDailyHistory.asp?ID=KWIGRAFT2), then.

I expected that brisk wind at noon when I went out, but it wasn't at all bad. Good thing I was home by 2:30.

Aside from those few minutes of wind that I posted about here, our strongest winds were between noon and 1:00.

The charts were interesting. I noticed two things, and wonder if they account for our different experiences. First of all it says Grafton and your weather is often at least a little different than this much south.

The other was the chart for wind direction. About 1:00 the wind in Grafton stopped blowing a little southwest and went due west. Maybe that was why it was windier 'up north in Grafton'.

The closeest weather station I could find to you is at 61st and Main.

It looks like there's something wrong with their anemometer. But then you said it was fairly calm this afternoon.
