When we were in Tucson, Dave took us up to Gates Pass, just outside of town, to watch the sunset. It was the most spectacular sunset I've ever seen, and Dave said it was pretty high on his list, too.
Sunsets are a regular event out there. The lower parking lot was nearly full. There is a bench built into the peak of that hill.

Walking up to the stands. Cyn and I sat at the top of that rock.

Tucson

Taking their seats. Dave and Shoo sat on that ledge, while Cyn joined me on top. There were people all over the hillside opposite us, but only us four on the rock on the left.

To our left

I wanted to wave my arms to see if I cast a shadow over Tucson.

Looking down.

I suppose you are in the wrong location to see the BEAUTIFUL sunsets on Lake MIchigan. We sat on top of the dunes one night and it was just awesome watching the sunset in the water. It's beyond description.

True, but we can see Lake Michigan sunrises. Not that I stay up that late very often...

In some households seeing the sunrise might involve getting up early, but if you want to try to stay up late that could work too...
