Wow, that's a lot of Stones. But you still need to listen to a live album like "Get Your Ya-Ya's Out."

Can you say why you liked Let it Bleed better than Sticky Fingers?

And can you tell my why you like Pink Floyd?

We've got that one. There are still a few more of their records I need to hear. I'm not usually into live albums, but I'll let you know what I think. After the Stones, I'll have to start in on The Beatles.

No. More good songs? I liked Out of Our Heads better than December's Children, just because. Because of the general feel.

No. They just sound cool, I guess.

Looks good to me - I'd put Let it Bleed as my favourite Stones album (all through) - I'd agree about Zeit too, they got better when they got more structured: Ricochet still stands up, I think. Funnily enough I've just bought some decent speakers for my PC and finally sorted myself out to start ripping my LP's so I'm sitting here ripping as I type. My HiFi is in the front room 30ft away so I've kind of missed my music.

Zeit was just too nonmusical for my taste. No tune, no rhythm - just noise.

What software do you use to rip songs from your stereo?

I'm using a freebie version of LP Recorder I got off a cover disc to rip to .wav - it sorts the volume out without any fuss, a freeware ap called Waveknife to split the tracks up and Wavepad to trim things and fade in/out. Wavepad's really good, took me about 5 minutes to work out how to do what I wanted.

Cool. I'll have to look into those when I get a chance. I still have quiet a few records that were never replaced with CD.

I was a little surprised by how much I liked Piper. It had abeen quite a while since I'd played it. Astronomy domine is one of my favorites. There are a couple of songs I don't care for, mostly on side 2.
