The first three posts on my friends page were about the cold. One of those was in Arizona.

It got down to about -3° last night.

our low last night was 80 degrees below our midsummer high and 35 degrees below yesterday's high. how about yours?

Our normals for this date are apparently 37 and 17.

The current temp is about 15 degrees higher than it was six hours ago. I don't think it varied that much yesterday.

Our high this year was around 100, so that's a range of 100 degrees.

so you have a greater summer/winter range, and we have a greater day/night range.

The greater day/night range is understandable (desert), but I wonder what makes some climates differ in the seasonal ranges. The southeast only gets about ten degrees warmer in the summer than it does here, but we get thirty degrees or more colder in the winter.

global warming seems to have affected northern summers more than southern ones.

It's always been that way, as far as I can remember. We still have winters of ten below or colder, and we still have a few days that get over 100°.

We hade 4° ONCE...

Make that one more. It is still chilly here...

But I am NOT complaining...I'll take the cold over 120° anyday!!

But according to the president, there is no such things as global warming and climate change.

Apparently he's right, since it's the first week in December, and it's already below zero.

The low on my back porch eaves was 26 - it's usually a bit colder in the open. Accu-weather says "22" for Littlerock, I'd buy it.

I had to punch a hole in the dogs' water outside so they can drink!

This is my first winter here, I'm used to the soft life living closer to the ocean.

Awww, poor doggies! I bet they are cold. We had to turn up the heat for ABBA yesterday. She wouldn't stop shivering, even wrapped up in a blanket! The house was around 64, but I guess she's a 70 degree doggy!

my mutten-heads are thick with fur. Gonesh does seem to want to come back in pretty quick, but Cassie just runs around, loving it. They're both northern breeds. :)

Poor little Abba. You're gonna need to get her a sweater!

My Tinkerbell was like that. He could just sleep in the snow. Then again, we had to shave him in the summer because he was too hot. Abba tore her sweater, and hates the one we replaced it with. I think I'm going to have to sew something special for her :)

Now you know why I was asking if your dogs were inside or outside. I hate having mine in because of the stink and hair, but they will freeze.

You may want to turn off your water on your washing machine if it is on the garage. The hoses will split. (we learned the hard way)

Thank you for the advice.

Yah, my pups are spoiled rotten. They get kicked out for at least little while a couple of times a day. They don't usually mind rain, or snow - Cassie is a nutcase and likes to roll in snow!

The fur is a problem, but they're both old enough, they need to be in at least at night.

:) i've got a finished garage, and insulated door - it hasn't gotten down to freezing yet in there. :) The water heater is in the garage, but the laundry is an interior room.

Yup, it's winter!

It is pretty cold here in San Diego, but I see there is a freeze warning in Phoenix. Yikes!

Here's a vote for cold over heat. I can usually warm up but when it gets hot I'm miserable. Good thing there are different people in the country to adapt to different degrees.

Too bad we all don't live where we can adapt best. :-D
