Please, out of common human decency, don't subject us to that awful "happy holidays" logo for the next 20 days, not even the next 2 days, or even the next 20 minutes (though I know that's dreaming). Even though my interfaith home DOES have both a christmas tree and a menorah, that graphic completely smacks of tokenism and makes me growl unpleasantly at my computer, rant repeatedly to my spouse, and get unfairly impatient with my dogs. And it's just plain unpleasant to look at, even without processing any of the symbolism.

Please pass this along to whoever makes those decisions. That graphic has just got to go.

Thank you.
Personally, I was just wondering what the little person thing is, on the lower left. And I got a kick out of the NIghtmare Before Christmas style snowdrift.

Anyway, I'd say this person has issues.

hahahahaha!

you are a funny man Kev...*hugs*

I felt the same way today. I was surrounded by crazed people shopping for crap at Target. I bought boxers for the boys.

I like that Frank's cloven hooves are showing. I think cloven hooves are cute.

I don't really like the graphic, but I don't care about it. I loved the Halloween one, though. I think of these as being similar to what Google does with their logo on holidays and other significant dates. I see no problem with it, either.

I'm missing something by browsing in Lynx, aren't I?

Well... I wouldn't say you're missing anything, but yeah, you're missing something.

I agree that the graphic sucks in a big way! I even changed my user info back to the old, ugly orange, purple and blue style, just to avoid having to look at it.

I think I prefer the vague greenness at the top of my page, to the orange.

And if I happen to look directly at the graphic, the look on Frank's face makes me laugh. It's like, what is that?

That was Support's suggestion to her, to change back to a different style.

Who sits there and stares at the intro screen long enough to get pissed about it?

This is a truly privileged person. And thank G-d I am not married to anyone who gets cranky at me because they don't like the livejournal holiday layout.

She probably has the LJ default as her style, so it shows up everywhere. But still, you pretty much scroll on just about any page. And you don't really look directly at the top of the page anyway.

And any normal person has more important things to worry about. So... yeah.

although someone i know made a whole post about her complaint...

i think it's unfair to pagans not to have a blood sacrifice included.

Not enough to complain about, but for some reason, the glimpse I get of that graphic does actually set my nerves on end and howling.

Didn't know it was possible to get rid of it, and am now going to see if I can figure out how.

does actually set my nerves on end and howling.

Why?

I can't be entirely sure, and it could be a combination of things, but I think it's mostly the colors, particularly how they clash with the colors in the default style.
