successful party

We had four couples over, with their eight kids. The kids played noisily in the basement, for the most part. All of us sat around and talked, the whole time. I grilled some burgers and bratwursts, which turned out well, as far as I could tell. Aside from that, there was a lot of food - chips, dip, cheese, crackers, veggies, and two pies from friends who couldn't make it. It was a good time.

We spent all yesterday and early today cleaning, which was not all that bad, because we didn't have to work frantically at it. We're going to be doing it again soon, since Christmas with my dad and stepmom and families will be at our house this year.
