This morning, when my alarm went off, I thought it was saturday, and that I'd forgotten to turn off my alarm. So I shut it off and went back to sleep. I slept for three and a half more hours.

Was worried because I was supposed to be helping out a coworker out in the shop, but it turned out he didn't need me early. I was out there for much of the rest of the day, though. I felt yucky when I got home, because it was hot out there, I hadn't had time to take a shower, and I forgot my deodorant. It wasn't so bad I was late, because I ended up staying until 6:30 to get the job done (we're not allowed to work overtime). Unforunately, I was so late, that I was still forty-five minutes short. I'll have to make it up next week.

Did I ever tell you about the time I was fired for being late for work... every day for three years?

Then there was another job I had that I was late all the time. We were only allowed a certain number of "occurrences" in total, but each one dropped off the list after one year. Every couple of months I'd gain some points back. Then I'd lose some points and get a warning. I probably got five "first written warnings" in two years.

You were tired. I've gotten up in the middle of the night and taken a shower, gotten dressed and woke Stan up to do the same. He'd sleepily inform me that it's only midnight and go back to sleep. I hate when that happens.

They waited until you had been late every day for 3 years and then just fired you???

I hope your sleep gets back to normal soon. I've had those completely sleepless nights and they are NO FUN!!

No, the boss made his disapproval known. Actually, he even sent me to counseling for a while. At the end, he followed a procedure of written warnings and suspensions.

I think my sleep is back to normal now. getting only five hours that night made me tired last night. I slept from midnight to nine, which is perfectly normal for a sunday.
