Went to Lion's Den again. Went down to the beach this time.

There were supposed to be stairs, but we didn't know how to get to them, so we found a trail that took us down through the woods.

There was this tree... It wasn't odd that it was on the beach, it was odd how it got there.

I'm sure you can't tell from this picture, but the tree and the ground it is sitting on came from up top. It just let loose and slid down the bluff! The beach has pebbles by the water, then fist sized stones, then sand next to the red dirt of the bluffs. This big hunk of dirt and vegetation is at the border between the rocks and the sand, so it can't have been there long. The top of the dirt has some well-established shrubs which aren't seen down below much, but are all over the place up above.

This one's not very exciting, but I like the glow on the birches:

Actually, that's a great picture of an active land-creep. There've been several slides over the years there, and this coming rainy season, there'll probably be more. I bet it separates right along the scarp - that nearly verticle segment up near the top. That really is an excellent picture, I can almost see the motion in the way the earth has settled there.

I've been enjoying your pictures - very nice. It looks like a great park.

It was odd how it seemed to be such a small piece, and still made it all the way to the beach. I bet it happened early this year. There was no evidence that the waves had hit it, so I douibt if it was there through the winter.

When I took the picture, I was squatting down "in the water" between waves.

Thanks.

What a pretty place. We've got to visit sometime soon.

That would be nice. It would also be nice if we could visit you.

We'd have to do some mighty interesting planning.

You've got the big truck. Even with a load, there'd be room for us. Hopefully, you'll be carrying furniture at the time.

We could set it the trailer up for a very comfortable ride. Bedroom, living room....
We'd want you to be very very quiet as we went over scales though......

Hey, you'd just get a job around here and tell the Synergists about it, they'd immediately get vacation leave to join you, and I'd open up R&R's B&B again, that's all.
