My dad and stepmom went to Paris, England and Scotland.
He said the driving in England was horrible (not quite as bad in Scotland). He said they drive like maniacs. He had less trouble than he expected driving the car itself, but he didn't expect the other drivers to be that bad.
They brought me some Scotch Whisky. Two miniature bottles. Royal Lochnagar 12y, and Aberfeldy 12y. I think he said you can't get those here. And small rocks from Avebury and from the site of the Battle of Hastings. And some minature pewter figurines or Anglo-Saxon & Norman warriors and Scottish Heroes, and Stonehenge stones. And a hat from Stonehenge.
They really enjoyed Paris. They would like to have stayed. The only person that was rude to them was a bartender at Versailles. He was surprised that they allowed flash photography in the Louvre. They saw that famous cemetery and Chopin's and Morrison's and a bunch of famous people's graves.
