The Wisconsin state capitol

This morning, on the way from Heather's house, to the graduation ceremony, Emily led us on a shortcut through the capitol building - there was no real reason to walk around, was there? I don't think I'd ever been inside, so I took a quick few pictures.

This is looking up at the inside of the dome. This dome is (purposely) only a few feet shorter than the one on the U.S. capitol building.


This is a slightly closer view of the painting in the top of the dome. Believe it or not, the surface this painting is on is nearly hemispherical.
