Thirty-two bucks for a tank of gas. That smashes the old record.

I learned that I can go at least ten miles (at high speed) when the low fuel light comes on. In my old car, I'd run out of gas when the top of the needle was even with the bottom of the E mark. Tonight, the needle went farther down than that. I was starting to get nervous.

I got about twenty miles to the gallon. Not as much as I'd hoped for this car.

that reminds me, the fuel gauge on the cruiser was on the top of the E this morning.....i'd best get gas at lunch or after work.....

The truck I have (6 cyl GMC) gets about 24 on a really good day, when I'm being very aware of my driving habits. It's got an 18 gallon tank, and I usually fill it at the top of the red sqaure - usually takes about 14 gallons.

I haven't been watching the totals because it hurts, but last week it was about $38 to fill-up on the way back from San Diego. That was even at the cheapest gas station I could find in the area...

The Shell near my office has unleaded for $2.95 a gallon. Yikes!

We're at 2.25.

I've heard that San Diego has some of the worst prices in the country.

Yes, it is. I think the lowest price I saw yesterday was $2.53!
