I went down to my friend's cabinet shop to do some work for the duplex. earlier this week, I stained all the molding and door jambs. I took them down to the shop to varnish them. Set 'em up in the spray booth, shoot 'em, let 'em sit an hour, sand 'em and shoot 'em again. Let them sit another hour and take them home. Sweet deal. We also cut down a couple of closet doors (also stained them). I couldn't have done that at home at all. Got home after 10:00. So much for our usual relaxing friday night.

Tomorrow morning I'm supposed to go out to my dad's to help him print. But we're having a bit of a snow storm. It was a slow ride home from the duplex tonight. I hope it's not like that tomorrow morning, or I'll have an hour drive. And hopefully, I'll be home early enough to sit with Cyn for a while.

Sunday starting at noon, is a friend's kid's first birthday party. We'll make an appearance there, and then I have to get over to the duplex to put in those door frames. Then the symphony in the evening.

It's nice that you can do that work at your friend's cabinet shop. This Spring we hope to finish setting up one of the 20' X 10' storage containers in back of the house as a wood shop. We have all the tools, and we love working with wood. Two years ago I designed & built a kindling box for the living room (with RTM's help, of course).

Yes, very nice. I helped him install a kitchen last weekend, so he's helping me with this project. I didn't mean to take up all his evening with this stuff, because I still need his help for a lot of other stuff.

When all this remodeling is done, I intend to set up a shop in the basement. I have most of the tools I need. I just need to get some workbenches and put everying up.

It's fun making stuff.
