As a result she was branded a child abuser in court. She has not been allowed to see the children since.

Having read the article, I'm both livid and unsurprised.

Some of these kids come from "crack" mothers and have been infected with the HIV virus

Many of the extreem religious morons believe HIV/AIDS was invented by god to punnish sinners. Since these children were born aparently of sin, they deserve to be punnished. Of course they should be used to test toxic concoctions that may be of no benefit whatsoever. After all, the best outcome would be something to benefit the good people of god, and at the worst, a sinner is sent to meet god.

I'd like to think that if there is a god, he's got a special place in hell reserved for such people as would carry out such torture on babies.

Additional thought...

In the far east, there's a thread of budhism that believes that if you were born with, or acquired through illness, a handicap, that you are evil and that disfigurment or handicap is your mark.

Businesses, public areas, etc, are deliberately built with no provision for handicapped access, and folks with handicaps are treated as if they are a scourge.

These "christains" are no better than those budhists. Soon I expect to see them building a large stack of fire wood, and running about looking for witches.

How awful! It reminds me of past times when prisoners were used for experimentation in the US.
