Yes, it's an aversion. Sometimes they really get irritating.

This time, the flowers smell strong, and not pleasant. Stargazer lilies, I think. Your nephew is strongly alleric to them.

No, those don't smell too much. Actually, there aren't too many flowers that bother me. It's usually manufactured scents that do. Bad smelling flowers usually aren't very strongly scented.
