I thought I wouldn't have too put up with the loud sirens, once I moved out of town. They're not as common or as close, but they're still there. One reason is that we're only a couple of houses from the corner of a main thoroughfare that leads to the hospital. Beyond that, I couldn't tell you why we hear so many.
Just now a fire truck was heading south and turned the corner to go by our house. But that leads *into* town. A minute later, I heard another siren, and another fire truck went south, but continued south past our intersection. I have no idea what's going on.
