I'm liking the new Mustang. I like the way it rides. The suspension is firm but not hard. It corners well, too. It's got a six cylinder, so the acceleration is adequate. I don't have to worry whether I can get it up to speed, or beat oncoming traffic. Sure the five liter would be fun, but I don't think the expense is worth that occasional fun. I haven't even opened the hood yet. And I haven't checked the gas mileage.
It's black. I've always found black to be a bit boring, but it looks good. They don't make them in twilight blue, so I'm stuck. It has no frame around the window on the door, so I'm going to have to get used to the finger prints on it.
The interior is black and grey. Except for lacking lumbar support, the seats are comfortable. I'm going to have to do something about that - at least on trips. I can't quite get the seat adjusted right, though, which is dumb because they're electric and are more adjustable than the old manual one. I guess I just expect too much. Actually, I want the seat to tilt back when I lower it, not forward. I'm tall, and the car isn't great on headroom, so I try to lower the seat, but it tries to dump me forward.
It's got the Mach stereo. The six disc changer is great, but the amps are overrated. I've got to turn the bass way down. The music I like was designed have the bass heard, not felt. Balance, people.
The trunk has a decent amount of floor space, but the amps take up vertical space.
I'm going to have to do some research on tires. The ones on it are wide (and expensive), so I want to get some snow tires.
