This was the playlist I set up for our party. I'm sure some songs will seem a bit odd to include, but the criteria were two: That I like the song, and that it made good background music. Not background music like Muzak, but that it didn't overpower conversation. That it was good to listen to, but didn't demand attention. I tried to include some songs that were favorites of some of the people there, or at least that the person and I shared an interest in the song (though I doubt if many of those people heard them). When I first wrote the list, I put priorities on the songs, and they all ended up going on the playlist, so there were some songs I would have skipped if I'd known we'd only get four hours of play time (there are over eight hours on this list). I spent a couple of nights choosing songs, and then I gave the list and a box of CDs to Michael to compile. He loaded all the songs onto his mp3 player, which we then plugged into my dad's reciever (and my big speakers).

nice list! Lots of stuff I recognize, lots of stuff I don't. it woulda been fun to hear it.

Aren't those little mp3 doohickeys great? I just love mine... listened to the first few chapters of Stephen King's latest Dark Tower book on the way to and from work this morning.

Yeah, they're cool. I probably won't get one, until I have a specific need for one, though.

I love that song!! It makes me do the stupid dance thingy that you've probably seen Cindy do.

Good play list.

So you're burning CDs of this mix for guest souvenirs?

I'd like the songs on Cd, myself, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to ask for it - them. I think this is around eight hours of music.
