(Subject stolen from Ana, who stole it from Stacy. I was gonna post this in Ana's LJ, but I didn't want to ruin the mood.)
I don't have epiphanies.
I'd like to think it is because I know everything already (I'm just taking the time to work it all out).
My brain is always working ahead, so when I get something, I feel like I already knew it.
And when I do learn something important, it always takes me a while to fully digest it.
Or maybe I'm just slow.

There are a lot of important ideas that I have learned over the years, but I can never think of many.
Here are a couple:
Listen.
Wisdom is gained over time. (That's as close to an epiphany as I've ever come: that all those dumb old people (parents, aunts and uncles, grandparents) are smart in spite of being dumb. But even that one took time to fully grasp.)
(And speaking of wisdom, watch what rdsc has to say. He is of wise philosopy. And a somewhat unconventional wisdom.)
