Oh, it's definitely MIN-e-SO-tan, I just wasn't sure if it got past the border into Wisconsin or not. Residents of Lake Wobegon say You bet a lot, as did many of my childhood neighbors.

People say "you bet" or "you betcha" in Iowa. I remember explaining to a friend at work that I really liked going to Iowa every year. "I need to rest my eyes on all that open space; I need to be in a place where if you need help you can ask someone and they'll say 'you bet' and do it with a smile."
