The hardwdare store plays "Light 97" way too loud. And whenever I'm in there, they always seem to be doing this show with some lady named Delilah, who does a lot of dedications. Tonight it was a guy who asked for a love song - any love song - to be played for his wife. At the host's prompting, he went on an on about how much he loved her, so she picked a song for him. As it started, I could have sworn it was a song by Journey (who I very much dislike). It could have been "Don't Stop Believin'". Once the singing started, I realized it was Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes." How could he use those same crappy seventies style keyboards?

There's a radio station here that plays Delilah's show, too. Every now and then there are some great songs, but the listeners' stories can be so sappy and the dedications seem emotionally manipulative. I suppose lots of listeners find the program sweet and touching but I only visit it for the music, every now and then.
