Cyn worked her ass off again. All day. I give her a task and she does it. I, on the other hand, have to try to prioritize everything, and figure out how to do things, and generally putz around with this and that.
All the phone and cable wiring is now done. About half of the insulation is cut and ready to go in. There are seven bags of garbage by the curb, and two cans. I still need to get a couple of boards in for the drywall. I need to get the inspector in, today or tomorrow. And probably call of the drywaller until monday. Or maybe friday. I'll need wednesday to do the insulation, and then get it inspected on thursday.
Would have been nice to go to my nephew's first birthday party. He wouldn't have remembered it anyway, though. Would have been nice to spend the weekend at Cyn's fixing up her kitchen. After the wallpaper stripping (seems like weeks ago), we haven't touched it. I'm sure it's tough on her not to have much of a kitchen.

Date: 2004-03-31 10:09 pm (UTC)From:No, actually I don't **grin** that much in person. I do smile a lot, but I worked retail for so many years that it's more of a habit then an expression of my joy. I find that sometimes when I write e-mails (or journals, as the case may be) that there is often a problem with the intonation and that people don't understand that I wasn't trying to be nasty, or hateful, or snoty, or whatever they think. There have been a lot of misunderstandings because of this. **grin** is just my favorite. Sometimes I do other **describe what you would be doing if this wasn't text**, but not very often. It's more of an "I'm not trying to be an asshole" statement then anything else. I find that things I type this way get some sort of tone and I don't have as many problems. It's a little of "just trying to be friendly".

Date: 2004-03-31 10:32 pm (UTC)From:There used to be someone who hung arouind here who used "LOL!!!" all the freaking time. Like the end of every second sentence. So Cyn and I kept saying, "doe sshe really laugh out loud at *everything*? Cyn said something to her about it once, and she cut back on the LOL's for about a week. I wish there was an emoticon for rolling yhour eyes. :-D
