We're redoing Cindy's kitchen. Stripping the wallpaper and replacing the flooring.
We can do any colors we want, but we don't know which to choose. Have you got any ideas for us?
The refrigerator is off-white. The stove is white with black trim. The woodwork is all painted. The floor will be some sort of Pergo-like wood-grain laminate.
Other than the appliances, all the colors can be changed - walls, ceiling, floor, cabinets, countertop and the door, floor and window molding. And the curtains (they're light blue now, so it would be convenient to match them, but not necessary).
And since it's going on sale in a month or two, it's gotta be bright and airy feeling
.
Suggestions anyone?

i like modern contemporary-
cindy may prefer something else-
the blue curtains invite thoughts of french country
and white is perfectly at home there~
our kitchen is a golden yellow
with some chili pepper touches like hot pan holders
and rugs~ i want to put a box of peppers on the window sill too~
my mother likes an kitchen with orange walls,
which works surprisingly well, actually~
anywho, i always vote for colours over whites!

although the colours are atrocious at my workplace, the idea of some coloured walls
and some off-white appeals to me
and seems to work~

Date: 2004-03-20 02:17 pm (UTC)From:The last kitchen I redid, it had black and creme appliances.. we painted a sort of dark smokey blue on the lower 3/4 of the wall, a lighter shade of the same smokey blue on the top 1/4, and a thin strip of black inbetween to tie it all together.
It's really hard to say without -seeing- the kitchen itself.
