grout

I've learned I don't do grout. Too bad I had to try it twice before I knew for sure. The first time I tried it, I did it so badly I had to take it out and redo it. Then it was fine. Not great, but okay. I decided I had it figured out, and the next time would be even better. I was wrong. This time it's worse. It's so bad, I'm going to have to see if I can touch it up somehow.

Other than that, things are going fine.

I tried using a cobimiation adhesive/grout and it didn't work because it had sand in it and the tile joints were too small for sanded grout. It's tedious. Luckily I only had a relatively small area...

i dislike grouting....perhaps, because i don't have the experience to do the job well........whatever.......if i can, i subcontract the grouting......

I thought the same thing - that I just needed experience. But now I got more and I didn't improve. And I don't know what I did wrong or how I can improve.

i meant EXPERIENCE....like one gets in an apprentice program with mentoring, etc......we paid for someone to come in and fix the grout and seal all the bathroom tile in the house this last fall.......it was well worth the $.....it got the job done right and i didn't have to do it......i'll be tackling some trim work soon, something i can deal with a whole lot easier......
