Saddam Hussein was captured about fourteen hours ago.

I don't think this will have any great effect on the situation in Iraq, in the long run. I could be wrong, though.

It will demoralize marginal people, and galvanize hardline resistance.

In the long run, it'll cause major upheaval, because of desperation.

after that.... well, Iraq is headed to become a constitutional theocracy. Woo.
