I recently went to Outlook Express for my e-mail. It's pissing me off.

If one person in my address book has multiple e-mail addresses, is there an easy way to choose which one I want to send a message to?

And why don't I recieve attachments to messages? They keep getting stripped. "OE removed access to the following unsafe attachments in your mail." Who is OE and why do they think every attachment is unsafe? Where do they go? Why can't I scan them for virii myself? WTF!

I hate Outlook Express with a passion that is not often seen on this plane of existence. I simply refuse to use it. I can see how it could be useful if you have six email addresses, so you could just pop open Outlook Express and view all of your accounts at the same time, but as it is I see no reason to open myself up to the program that is the world's single largest target of viruses.

As a result of my refusal to use Outlook Express, to this day I have never received an email virus (knock on wood).

As for your problems, I suggest you look for an Options or Preferences menu of some kind. Sorry I can't help you out otherwise.

I've never used it. I just like the netscape mail/messenger so much that I put up with 4.78 and crashing forEVER until 7.1 came along, and now I get cool tabbed browsing along with it.

i have outlook express on one of my biz laptops because it's the way that the ATTworlldnet account was set up........of course, i do not use it......it always appears that virii are written with outlook express in mind, so, it's keep that in mind if you continue using it

(i'm a netscape mail person)

I use web mail all the time. I *hate* the idea that my messages would get downloaded to some comupter somewhere. How can I read them when I'm somewhere else?

Also Outlook is abso-bloody-lutely awful.

Our OE imploded, so we had to upgrade to the grown-up version of Outlook, which has serious drawbacks. The attachment stripping function must be new, or it's your ISP's doing. Were they .exe files? Some systems freak out if they see .zip files, too.
