for some reason I missed the most important reason to use the LJ cut - sidescroll.

If the picture you post is wider than a viewer's page would normally be, it will force the whole page to that width. If that width is wider than the viewers screen, a line of text will go off the screen. Then you have to scroll sideways to read it. I know I speak for many when I say that it is infuriating.

If you have a big picture, please put it behind the LJ cut.

I always have to remove people from my friends list (or default view, anyway), and I usually forget to oput them back.

Hmm. I was thinking of <nobr>, but that doesn't do what I thought it does. In fact, I'm not sure what it is supposed to do.

You know, it wouldn't be that bad if your line was longer than the rest of the comments or posts on the page. Scrolling over to read one long line of text is not so bad. The problem is when it's several lines. Then youi have to scroll back to the left and figureout which line you're on.
