The son of a guy who works here is stationed in Iraq. They are having a clothing drive for poor Iraqi people. It is odd to me that their culture dictates that they cannot accept donations of clothing for women.

That was it. They posted further information. Iraqi females must begin to cover up with the traditional garb around the age of eight. So they're asking for clothing for males of any age, and clothing for girls under the age of eight.

It also explains that the guy's company is trying to gain the confidence of the locals, so they can figure out who's attacking them, so are looking for donations from us to win the people over.
