cleaning

I did some cleaning last week. Since about January first, I've had a bathtub leaning up against the wall in my kitchen. It wasn't much in the way, except that it stuck out into the pathway into the living room. And when you sat at the kitchen table, your back would be up against it. But I finally got it out of there. I moved it to the sunporch.

I've also had a big pile of crap in the kitchen - papers, tools, magazines, newspapers, extension cords, books, shoes, etc. I sorted through it a little bit. I found a gift certificate from Christmas 2001. I found a packed for my health insurance enrollments that I was supposed to fill out and turn into HR by October 15th, 2002. Not much interesting besides that. I got rid of about half the mess.

So when Cyn showed up on friday, I expected her jaw to drop. She didn't notice. She walked right through the spot where the bathtub was several times. She didn't notice until about 9:00 the next morning.

We got a new TV and I didn't notice till I saw the new remote and was puzzled. I asked Patrick where we got the new remote.

Bear in mind that at this point I'd been sitting on the couch watching the new TV for about an hour and a half.

A new TV to replace the old one? If it was the same size, I could see that. If it was to fill a space in your living room, I'd be a bit puzzled.

And at least Cyn could claim "out of sight, out of mind."

It's a fair bit bigger than our old one, and a much different color. But it does fit into the same spot in the entertainment center.

Basically, when I got home it was on, so I just looked at the pictures.
