Talking about Bob Mould with Lonita reminded me of the first time I bought some of his music. It was a compilation CD of MTV's 120 Minutes. One of the reasons I bought it was because it had Mould's "See A Little Light" on it. Also because it had RHCP's "Higher Ground" and TMBG's "Ana Ng." I just found a site by an amateur music critic, and his list of favorite songs included this song. He called "Ana Ng" "perhaps the greatest pop song of all time." I think that's pushing it, but I like it. The disc also includes, "I Melt With You" by Modern English, which he calls "the greatest pop love song ever written." Also slightly exaggerated. "Dear God" by XTC and "Carolyn's Fingers" by Cocteau Twins are also beautiful songs. I hope this CD never wears out.

I'm sure I've got it on tape somewhere. I used to watch cable with my finger on the record button. :-)
