that's so weird~
just today i took some pics of
broken and fallen-over headstones at mt. olivet~
this one is much more dramatic than mine
but i wondered how they could remain in such a state of disrepair~
on the other hand, there is much beauty and romance in decay
and i find this shot pretty~

Headstones that are broken like this are difficult to repair, and never look very good. It's also probably expensive.

Near here there is an old cemetary with quite a few little marble slabs that are broken in half. That sort of vandalism makes me sick. They tried to fix them. They used some kind of cement to put them back together, and glued reinforcing rod to the backs of them. Still doesn't look very good, but Iguessit's better than leaving them.
