The initial euphoria seems to be wearing off.

Many Iraqis believe the Americans launched the war to seize their oil. In what many in Baghdad consider confirmation of that, one of the first Baghdad buildings seized by U.S. forces was the oil ministry. They are still there.


And the U.S. doesn't seem to want to let UN nuclear weapons inspectors into Iraq. story

The U.S. army has yet to find proof Iraq has weapons of mass destruction, though Washington insists the weapons are there.

I can't help feeling that they don't want to let anyone find out that there's nothing to be found. But did anyone seriously believe that Iraq had nuclear weapons? Of course, finding that they didn't have chemical or biological weapons would be much more problematic for Bush.

Yeah, that's it exactly. And this administration is so devoid of diplomatic skills that they don't even recognize it would be in their best interest to let them in. And Bush never even said that they thought they had nuculer weapons.
