Toblerone: the Maginot Line of chocolate

Too bad they're owned by Kraft. Is Kraft still owned by RJ Reynolds? After RJ Reynolds acquired Nabisco, they called themselves RJR/Nabisco. Did they change or sell again after that? I just checked the Kraft website and all I found was that "Kraft Foods Inc. completed its IPO on June 13, 2001. The net proceeds from the IPO were used to retire a portion of the debt incurred in connection with the acquisition of Nabisco Holdings Corp." The Kraft and Nabisco businesses were integrated.

Phillip Morris companies reorganized as Altria, and owns 84% of the open shares of Kraft. They also own Phillip Morris, International and a good chunk of SAB Miller, plc (the worlds #2 brewer, South African Breweries). Lots can be found at www.altria.com (of course).

Wow, good info. thanks!

Funny how none of that info appeared on the Kraft page. But I guess that's because Altria doesn't official own Kraft, it just controls it.
