Date: 2003-02-21 07:26 am (UTC)From:I read the article linked to AND the article linked at the bottom about the aftermath of the Chicago stampede, and they are two different situations. The Chicago club owner is absolutely at fault and had repeated violations that could have saved lives in that situation if he had complied. And although I think the club ownership or manager will be held responsible for loss of life in RI..it was not because of anything he did against the codes or laws, it was a really BAD decision on a one time basis.
