I got home late, started with the drywall and had to run to the store (non project related) so I only put up 21 tiles before I had to quit at 10:15. And it looks like hell. Not good. I should be able to get off work pretty early tomorrow, and get a good deal done.

Cyn and I have a wedding to go to tomorrow. The wedding is at two, and the reception at 5:00. I'm not sure if I'll have a chance to work before or between the events. Probably after, though. I'd really like to get all the tile up so I can grout on sunday and use the shower on monday. Or Tuesday at the very latest. I have to use it by then. I just have to.

You should stay home tonight and work as late as possible. Then come down to my house by noon so you can shower. We'll drive back up to the wedding right away and stay at your place Saturday night. That way you can get back to work on the tile as early as possible on Sunday.

Sounds like a lot of work to get done...:(

I wish I was there to help..but my helpping might be more destructive than helpful...

i have done a little tile work.......and the thought of doing more doesn't excite me at all......hence, when i had to replace some sheetrock behind the tub in the basement of my old house, i just put up a plastic tub surround.....and it looked and worked great!....and it didn't add or subtract from the value of the house when it was sold....

of course, Nancy is currently looking at some tile to cover the wall space between the counter and the cabinets in the kitchen....wallpaper would be easier.......but, i can't say no to tile if that's what she wants.......

best of luck in your tiling and grouting endeavor....

It's an oddly shaped small space because it's underneath some stairs. A regular plastic surround doesn't work well in this instance. Too narrow, plus it has a jutting over hang...hard to explain.

well, there are still alternatives to tile.........but time is one of the most useful tools when doing remodeling chores......
