Yeah, I liked him. I also liked Yul Brynner (in fact, I had a passing crush on him as an early teen), Jan Michael Vincent, Lee Marvin, Charles Bronson, Harvey Keitel, Robert Mitchum, Charlton Heston, and John Wayne. I am *so* not a typical chick-flick type person. :>

I was sad to hear of his passing.. but... if I *have* to die, that is how I want to die. Sitting relaxing at home with a significant other listening to music... and dies quickly. *smile* I too always thought he seemed like a nice fella. I howled over his "Flint" movies.
