I hear that the earthquake in Alaska last week muddied the groundwater around here. Everyone's tap water turned brown.

We had a 4.0 here a couple of weeks ago, centered off the coast of Hilton Head.. extremely rare to have them at all, and noticable ones even rarer.

When I lived in interior Alaska we used to get tremors on a weekly basis. I would lay in bed and just wait for them to past. Kind of cool really, as a kid anyway.

yup, it's not uncommon to disturb the filter pack in a well with an EQ a long way off.....i had no mud or iron discoloration in the water from my well, because i have a 5 micron sediment filter on the supply line from the well......
