Daschle said he felt the president’s anti-terrorism theme, and particularly the possibility of war with Iraq, "resonated with the American people" and eventually "trumped" concerns about the economy.

Yeah, why is it that people don't seem to realize that the GOP is not helping the economy?

Aside from "trickle down economics," which was such a failure that even Reagan had backed off from it by the end of his term, there's NAFTA. (Yes, I know that it was ratified during Clinton's administration.)

This treaty makes it easier for corporations to send jobs outside of the country. Companies can cut costs, instead of passing costs on to the consumer. Inflation is reduced, so the average person things everything is fine. But more and more people are losing their jobs. Our country suffers because the only ones still profiting are the big corps, and they're paying less taxes than ever.
