I haven't been keeping up with things around the house. I've been pretty busy, but that's not the whole reason. I just haven't motivated myself. I need lists. Yeah, I know some people complain about listmakers, but I've learned that if I don't make plans to do something, I won't do anything (constructive). I've known for a while that that applies to going out, like to shows or to social events, but now I know that if I don't plan to get some particular work done, I won't do anything. I'll just wander around the house, and end up rummaging through stuff instead of putting it away, or I'll just turn the computer on and sit in front of it for the night.
I need to make lists, so I have clear goals. I never manage to accomplish all that I intend to, but any progress is good.
Tonight's list:
Dishes
Stop by mom's
call Cindy
pay bills
balance checkbook
I got the first two done.
Tomorrow's list:
grocery shopping
pay bills
balance checkbook
vacuum
and a few other odds and ends
That looks reasonable. Hopefully, I won't have to work late.

making lists
Date: 2002-10-17 11:34 am (UTC)From:But I am a great maker of lists. I am reminded of this everytime I clean out my purse. Or when I don one of my 29+ coats (yes, it's true) and find an old list or five in the pockets, and I can remember what occasion it was created for. But I never find forgotten money. Strange.
