Does anyone know how many foreign nationals were killed in the attacks last year?

I don't know, but I remember that [livejournal.com profile] i posted some stats and/or links to stats not long afterwards. The figure of 600 Fijians sticks in my mind.

On this (http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2001/memorial/lists/by-country/) page there are 2897 Americans, 25 foreigns and 36 unknown. But, supposingly, this is residence, not nationality.

Yeah, I remember that one, and that the cities listed were residences. I guess the people listed there were merely visitors.

Thanks.

About 70 were British citizens... The largest loss of UK lives in a single terrorist attack...

Today's paper has a story about people marking the anniversary across the globe. It says that nearly 500 people from 91 foreign countries were killed.

It figures they'd publish that figure the day after American Flag Waving Day.

From the other replies, it sounds like that Fijians figure is far too big.
